REL (Renewable Energy Log) is a global geospatial platform that records, organizes, and visualizes renewable energy installations and projects.

The platform exists to promote transparency, research, collaboration, and the advancement of renewable energy worldwide.

3. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You must have legal capacity to enter agreements.
• You must provide accurate registration information.

4. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining account security.
• You must keep login credentials confidential.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• You must notify REL immediately of unauthorized access.

5. User Submissions

By submitting project information, images, documents, coordinates, and technical specifications, you confirm that:

• You own or control the rights to submit the content.
• The information is accurate and truthful.
• The content does not violate any law or agreement.
• You have authority to disclose installation locations.

6. Open Data License

REL operates under an open-data model.

By submitting content, you grant REL and the public a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to access, use, reproduce, distribute, adapt, and share submitted project information under the REL Open Data Licence (CC BY 4.0).

7. Prohibited Activities

• Submitting false or misleading information.
• Uploading AI-generated or fabricated installation images.
• Violating intellectual property rights.
• Attempting unauthorized access to REL systems.
• Disrupting platform operations.
• Uploading malware or malicious code.
• Using REL for unlawful activities.

8. Content Moderation

REL reserves the right to review, edit, reject, flag, suspend, or remove content that violates these Terms or applicable laws.

Decisions regarding moderation are made at REL's sole discretion.

9. Suspension & Termination

REL may suspend or terminate accounts without notice where:

• False information is submitted.
• Policy violations occur.
• Fraudulent activity is detected.
• Applicable laws are violated.

10. Intellectual Property

REL retains ownership of its software, branding, design, platform infrastructure, and proprietary technologies.

Users retain ownership of original content they submit while granting the rights described in the Open Data License.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

REL is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

REL does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or availability of any data contained within the platform.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, REL shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from platform use or reliance on submitted data.

13. Changes to These Terms

REL may revise these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after updates become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with applicable laws without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
